
HISTORY OF HALLOWEEN:
It is of Celtic origin. Halloween is on the eve of All Saints (1st November).
Our ancestors celebrated New Year on November 1st and New Year's Eve on October 31st.
They believed that the souls of the dead visited their homes to try to find a body on live, and were accompanied by witches and spirits. They don’t open the light in the houses and people dressed as witches and demons so that no living soul wanted her body.
TRADITIONS:
-PUMPKIN LANTERNS-
Emptying the pumpkin and make it a cut in the form of face and pose a candle in the pumpkin to make it serve as a lantern Halloween.
-DRESS UP-
Is popular for Halloween wear a costume, because our ancestors dressed as witches and demons so that no living soul wanted her body.
-TRICK OR TREAT-
Children in costumes, either in large groups or accompanied by an adult, travel from house to house in order to ask for treats such as candy or, in some cultures, money with the question "Trick or treat?". The trick is a threat to perform mischief on the homeowners or their property if no treat is given.
-APPLE BOBBING-
Is a typical game in Halloween. Apples are placed in a big basin of water. The contestants must take one bite from one of the apples without using their hands.
